Introduction

IFS Field Service Management Documentation Suite

There are several available documents designed for the different user needs of FSM. Many of these documents can be used to onboard and train FSM users. The following is a description of the different types of documents and their uses.

  • Overviews and introductions are designed for new or potential customers who want to know what FSM does and how you begin working with certain features. They include descriptions, process maps, and hands‐on examples that walk you through using the product.
  • Setting‐up guides are designed to help you set up a feature new to you and help you become more self‐sufficient. More common aspects of a feature are explained with examples and procedures that help you set up and use the feature fully. More information about the feature follows the procedures that include locations of where to find more in‐depth information, including areas not covered in the guide.
  • Technical guides, such as the IFS Field Service Management Reference Guide, are designed for technical users, such as IT departments, consultants, and partners. These documents share in‐depth information about using all aspects of FSM features and other information such as installation, upgrade, and integration with FSM.
  • Cheatsheets are designed for users who use FSM functions and features on occasion and need a quick reminder on how to use these functions and features when needed.

The following documentation map summarizes the currently available documentation.
